Is It Possible To Earn Thousands Of Dollars Each Month Using Google’s Adsense Program?
Following up on my previous post on Google Adsense, let me first ask you a simple question from the position of a fellow blogger & web-master.
Have you ever wondered whether it is really possible to earn thousands of dollars every month using Google’s Adsense Program?
Ever since its introduction, Google Adsense’s pay per click program has seen many web-masters trying their luck, hoping to strike it rich by placing Adsense ads all over their sites.
While some have reportedly made thousands or even millions of dollars in online profits, others have completely flopped, failing even to reach Google’s threshold of $100 per month.
And as I recalled, I personally fell into the latter category when I first started out in internet marketing a couple of years ago.
I wasn’t into blogging at that time, but I do have a couple of sites selling drop-shipping merchandise that brought in some decent traffic and sales.
But when it came to Adsense revenue, it was a total disaster for me, imagine taking more than half a year before I even managed to hit the $100 dollar mark. Pathetic isn’t it?
So coming back to my same old question, is it really possible to earn online profits each month with the Ad sense program as advertised by so many Ads & marketing programs out there or is it just another marketing gimmick?
There are so many “Success” stories of people making a pile of money from Google Adsense and I recently came across one where a Canadian doctor is known to have obtained at least 27 million dollars from Adsense and other pay per click programs from last year alone.
Unbelievable but is it true? Or is it pure hype?
Well, with a bit of online research, I have found that some very well structured websites really does earn as much as $300,000 to $400,000 a month just from Google Adsense revenue alone.
Most of these top earning Adsense sites are all FREE sites that provide FREE services to all visitors. An example of such a site is a FREE online dating site that goes by the name www.plentyoffish.com.
Considering the amount of income this site is generating each month, you wouldn’t believe if I told you that the entire business is still being run out of the webmaster’s apartment.
Talk about cost saving working from the comfort of your home.
Frankly speaking, it is only human nature that we want to believe in the good things in life, and making a fortune from Adsense is no exception.
However, we must also be realistic in our approach and take our perspective from the famous Pareto’s 80/20 rule.
According to Pareto’s rule, 80% of Google’s payout from its Adsense program go into the pockets of about 20% of all webmasters who have participated in the Adsense program.
In a nutshell, this means that the numerous “Lucky” people who have made a “Killing” from Google Adsense actually only constitute about 20% of the entire population of webmasters (probably in the millions) using Adsense as a method of earning online profits.
Like they say in business, the “Biggest Winners” are always the ones with the necessary “Knowledge” and “Experience” of the industry they do business in.
Therefore, in my humble opinion, making money through Google Adsense is not impossible and certainly not a matter of “Luck” but a “Proven Methodology” that you need to learn in order to succeed.
Luckily for me, I managed to accumulate some experience using Google Adsense after pouring through some of the better Adsense related material such as Simon Leung’s Adsense List Building program.
And for those who haven’t got the faintest idea who Simon Leung is, he is known all across the Internet Marketing industry as the Master Adwords Optimizer.
He was once an ex-employee of Google’s original Adwords team and is now one of the world’s leading experts in Google Adwords today.
I was lucky enough to meet up with Simon in person when he was in Singapore last month. He gave us several pointers on using Adsense to earn your first dollar online as well as several other invaluable tips as an Adwords advertiser.
You can read more about Simon in my next Guru Review coming up soon.

How To Get More Targeted Traffic Using Social Networks?
Traffic! Traffic! Traffic! It’s what every website craves for in order to survive in this highly competitive internet world we live in.
Some site owners buy traffic, some borrow traffic and some choose to generate their own traffic.
The majority of us tend to use a mixture of all three methodologies just to get more traffic to our sites.
But nowadays, getting tons of traffic isn’t the whole idea, the main aim is to get heaps of “Targeted” traffic which will ultimately lead to higher sales conversions if you are into internet marketing.
As we all know, social networking is the trend today and sites like Facebook, MySpace and Hi5 are vastly popular among both the young and the old.
Even political figures are jumping on the band wagon and hitching a ride on this massive wave of web communications.
Social networking can be an effective way of getting more “Targeted” traffic for your website if you know how.
In order for social networking to be effective, you must appropriately customize your profile so that more people are willing to befriend you and visit your profile and sites.
Don’t just post another “Boring” old photo of yourself, spice it up a bit more to make it worth another look.
Perhaps you can try using an animated avatar character, but certainly not a revealing photo of yourself, adult themes are a No-No in social networks.
Most social networking sites will allow you to include some form of a link on your profile. And this “Link” is the gateway to getting more traffic to your site.
Fellow members of these social networks are mostly interested in making new friends and will have more tendency to click on links from your profile if they perceive you as a genuine friend.
There are millions of people on these social networking sites and you can easily convert them into “Free Traffic” for your website in as little as 60 minutes once you grasp the underlying concept behind social networking.
Write something informative, interesting or funny so as to entice members & friends to check out your blogs or affiliate products you are promoting, think about it, the possibilities of are endless.
Trust me on this one, it’s all about branding yourself.
Here are some tips & pointers you can try out to see if there is a surge in the amount of traffic going to your site after utilizing the immense power of social networking.
- Write or produce high quality content for your community in order to build credibility and reputation. Always try to write excellent & convincing content that will lure your users to come back and watch out for more of your posts.
- Engage frequently in the social networking activities like visiting other members’ sites, accepting & giving online gift and post-cards, anything a genuine friend in the offline world would do.
- Participate in discussion forums, constantly posting comments on things that interest you and share advice on topics that you have relevant expertise on. Build up your social branding and reputation.
- Review your fellow social network members’ sites and give your comments about the things you like about them. Share and you will be rewarded in return. Some members may even allow you to write contextual links back to your websites from theirs.
- Organize polls and contests to keep your community involved and give them a feeling of belonging.
- Respond to other members’ requests. If you ignore them they won’t come back to you and you lose friends.
- Get an understanding of your community especially their interests, locality and professional domains to make sure you produce content that engages them.
Some social networks like Twitter allows you to register and share a twit with friends who are in your social network. You can create links on these twits (small messages) on practically any topics you desire.
For Twitter lovers, try to post your most interesting or engaging topic with a link to your site on the last twit of the day before you log off so that it stays there for all to view until the next time you log on.
You will be surprised what a small gesture like this can bring a whole lot of extra traffic.
Always remember, the paramount thing to do after joining a social network is to make as many friends as possible.
The more friends you have, the greater the possibility for you to get visitors to your designated sites.
Unfortunately, the largest drawback of social networking is the amount of time you need to commit to expanding your network of friends and getting “popular” in the initial phases of joining.
Sometimes it can get really time-consuming, but in the end, i believe it is still worth every effort spent, so have fun networking.
