In-Depth Review Of Email Auto Responder Getresponse
Overview
When it comes to email auto responder programs, Getresponse is often considered to be among the best on the market today.
Obviously, the “Best” is up for debate, but my Mastermind Group members and myself have tried out some of the more popular auto responder products on the market like Aweber, Mailloop, and also Getresponse before giving it the thumbs up.
Certain key and unique features in their service seems to work well together to set this business tool apart from the rest of the competition.
Some might have tried using Free autoresponder products but these are a complete waste of time and effort to set up in my book.
But when it finally comes down to it, your personal needs and preferences still determine which email auto responder program will best suit your needs.
Company
Knowing that public approval is the only winning formula, Implix, the company behind Getresponse, works hard to consistently improve their auto responder service in terms of both efficiency as well as in pricing.
Implix strives to provides cost-effective E-business solutions for everyone in the online marketing arena.
Their products are often met with high acclaim, and in the 10 years they’ve been in business, Implix has expanded their business to reach a broad demographic audience.
Key Features and Benefits
(a) Remotely Hosting:
With remote hosting, all the operations of the auto responder service are conducted by the service provider and not installed on you own web server or desktop as compared to a self hosted autoresponder.
This has the huge advantage of 24/7 customer support and technical assistance when the need arises.
(b) Unlimited Email Marketing Campaigns:
This feature allows more freedom for business owners especially if you are an internet marketer.
Instead of being forced to limit your exposure, users of Getresponse can send out unlimited campaigns for different niches.
Some auto responder programs actually have restrictions on this, so be careful about this.
(c) Messages Queued in Advance:
With this feature, users can easily pre-program their messages to be sent out on any given date.
This adds to the level of convenience if you are a self employed business owner operating with limited manpower.
Once you got your business and marketing emails pre-loaded, you can pack your bags and go on vacation without worrying about the backend marketing aspect of your online business.
Although this feature is not unique to Getresponse; however, it is more advanced and user-friendly than most competitor programs.
(d) Multiple HTML Templates:
Getresponse offers users over 150 professionally designed templates.
This wide range of choices helps to set this program a bit above rivals in terms of choice and variety.
But from what my Mastermind Group members have told me, other programs are fast catching up on this one.
(e) Domain Registration:
With Getresponse, users are able to register their own domain names to be included with email or in use with mailing lists.
This personalization feature offered by Getresponse is unique and allows you to associate with your potential customers in your mailing list more like a personal “Friend” instead of going through some 3rd party automated software.
It has the advantage of achieving higher email open rates and conversions.
(f) Spam Rating :
We all know that Spam is a huge issue in the online marketing community and everyone hates Spam.
And with Getresponse’s Spam Rating feature, before your emails are send out, it enables you to check the Spam Rating and determine whether you emails need modifying or risk being regarded as Spam.
An amazing feature all internet marketers cannot live without.
(g) Other Common Features Include:
Ease of Use
- Unlimited Broadcasts;
- Attractive Email Postcards;
- Unlimited Message Length;
- Ad-Free Content; Graphics,
- Spreadsheets, Word or PDF;
- Stylish Message Templates;
- Infinite Message Changes;
- Multiple Language Options
Getresponse’s members area has a number of video tutorials that will help users of different levels of expertise to set up the program up correctly.
Users with previous knowledge of computers and simple HTML don’t seem to have as much trouble.
Through various web seminars offered, users can become progressively efficient with this auto responder program.
For most, it is as simple as cutting and pasting some HTML codes onto your website.
However, with dozens of features, some which might take some getting used to, things such as the anti-spam filters, automatic mailing lists, newsletters, dates and times, extensive databases, etc, the program can sometimes prove to be a slow starter for beginners.
If you are a complete internet newbie, chances are your first few days might be spent trying to figure out the details of how to get this program to work properly.
Pros & Cons
However, some features of their auto responder program may earn much criticism from users who hoped for an “Idiot-Proof” product but ended up with a piece of more “Complicated” or shall i say more “Powerful” software than they expected.
This may just be the “Blessing in Disguise” once your online businesses expand.
But if you’re an internet newbie and are learning about the program on the fly, you may encounter some difficulties as they might be a little “Learning Curve” involved.
But having said that, doesn’t everything in internet marketing have that same learning curve?
Getresponse also has a feature called a Pop-Up Facility.
This feature, although a strong selling point, is really more a bit on the “Extravagent” side.
It doesn’t work nearly as well as competitor programs in terms of ease of use and attractiveness.
Anyway, I’m not a huge fan of Pop Ups and i don’t really use Pop Ups as it is pretty annoying and distracting at times.
But if you are into it, you could be put through the ringer in terms of creating a message that you desire.
Instead of a straight-forward system, Getresponse’s maneuvering and “extra steps” seem to get in the way of a speedy message.
Support
What else can i say, the level of support for Getresponse is enormous.
On their Free Web-board, users can ask their questions to the support staff and receive an informative answer in the shortest possible time.
There is also an email feature, support tickets, and even live support via the Internet (chat).
And as you would expect from most programs, there is a toll-free phone number to provide further support.
As previously stated, there are video tutorials to help users with the setup and implementation of Getresponse.
The Quick Start and Setup Your Messages sections of the site are very informative and easy to read.
Price
The program is membership-based, meaning that you will never own it outright.
Getresponse’s payment plan is broken down into four types:
- Monthly $17.95 USD;
- Quarterly $47.85 USD;
- Half Yearly $87.70 USD;
- Yearly $145.40 USD
For users who are privy to the general makeup of auto-responders, this program is definitely worth the monthly fee.
Conclusion
Overall, i would give Getresponse auto responder a 9 out of 10 in terms of functionality, customer support and pricing.
