For starters, let’s first get the intros out of the way.

Hi, my name is Derrick C.K. Lee and I am the Blog-master for this site. And just in case you don’t know me personally, which probably would be the case.

Here’s What You Have Missed Out

I’m 36 this year and I reside in Singapore, a small but buzzling little country. And as far as I can remember, I have been “In Business” all my life.

Ever since I graduated from University with a double degree in Information Technology & Economics, I did not join a large Multi-National Company like my fellow graduates. Instead, I pursued a much different path from the rest of the pack, I started off my career by helping my father in his marketing company.

Many would say that I am privileged, but in my opinion, running a business is no easy task, especially with the high overheads in terms of factory rental, worker’s salaries and uncollectible bad debts.

After a couple of years in business, I gradually noticed that my family business which has been around since 1954 is expanding at a slower than expected rate due to industrial saturation, geographical limitations and more importantly, the inability of the company to adapt and embrace the new internet era due to its stagnant company culture and “unchangeable” employee mindset. Most of the workers have worked over 30 years and sometimes you just can’t teach an old dog new tricks, if you get my drift.

A New Direction in Life

That is when I decided to venture out on my own seeking out better opportunities to further my career. My initial aim was to start another marketing company with a whole new perspective and business direction incorporating the internet & technology instead of an unrelenting labor force.

During the early days, the internet was just coming of age. Emails were gradually catching up in popularity as one of the favorite means of communications. Having a web presence is no longer a privilege but a necessity in you truly want to stay competitive in this “dog eat dog” world.

And with a burning desire not to miss out on the massive window of opportunities the internet can bring, I began to launch my new marketing business. However, due to the nature of my brick and mortar business model, I noticed that the availability of an online presence only serves as a contact mechanism instead of an expansion tool.

Create A New Chapter In Your Life Through The Greatest Window Of Opportunity

This prompted me to begin exploring other aspects of doing business using the internet beyond the traditional brick and motor business model. During the course of my research, I found that the internet is growing at such an exponential rate, much faster than any aspiring offline business could ever compete with.

Coupled with the fact that the certain goods can be easily sold online and will not be limited by geographical limitation and saturation are major factors that changed my thinking as well as my business model concept.

With the internet business model, there are so many ways people can make a living online, be it selling stuff on E-Bay, Internet Marketing or even Trading Shares, Stocks, Futures & Currencies, undoubtedly one of my personal favourites.

With the internet, all these online opportunities have indeed created hope and endless opportunities for those who wish to make a living working in their pyjamas from the comfort of their homes.

My 3 Sets Of Income Streams :

(1) My Offline Marketing Company

Before my online endeavors took off, my self start-up “Brick & Mortar” marketing company was the main bread & butter of my income. Nowadays, I only service regular clients who are good pay masters, no point having tons of business contracts when nobody pays on time right?

Most of the time, I usually spend the first half of my day in the office dishing out work schedules. The key here is to outsource the “Tedious” aspect of this offline business model to reliable 3^rd party sub contractors.

My main focus is to plan and organize so that my guys know what needs to be done and things can proceed smoothly without a hitch.

(2) My Online Marketing Business

I can still recall the first cheque I received from my online marketing endeavor was a US check of $14.97 and boy was I delighted.

Unfortunately, my local bank informed me that I had to pay S$30 processing fee just for clearing the US check. How ironic can that get…. I still have that very first check framed up in my study room as a token of my initial efforts.

With continual learning and the dreaded 4 letter word called “WORK”, my online marketing efforts are gradually paying off allowing me to build an increasing residual income from the internet. FYI, most of my afternoons are spend on tweaking and perfecting my Pay Per Click ads driving a consistent flow of traffic to my websites.

(3) My Online Trading Business

I always believed that investments are the key instruments to accumulating immense wealth. That is why over the years, I have attended numerous investment and trading course in a bid to increase my knowledge on the various financial instruments that has made people like Warren Buffets & George Soros billionaires in the investment arena.

Unfortunately, the common culprits of “Fear” & “Greed” always gets the better of me whenever I trade online be it in Futures or Forex. In addition, the timing to trade the US market is turned “Upside Down” when you are living in Singapore.

Luckily, technology can be such a savior at times, not just in internet marketing but also in online trading. With the emergence of automated trading softwares, you can easily key in profitable strategies from what you have learned from all the trading gurus (who easily charge up to 5K a pax per course) into these trading robots and they do all the “Hard Work” for you.

No need to stay up all night and the money will still keep rolling in provided you have fine tuned your trading strategies.
