5 Essential Must Have Components For A Traffic Generating Article!

If you are new to Article Writing or “Suck” terribly at it like i did when i first attempted to submit my first e-zine article, then you absolutely need to read on to find out what are the 5 essential must have components that make up a “Traffic Generating Article”, one that can generate heaps of “Targeted Traffic” back to your site.

It’s a general fact that every article we write contains different components depending on the niche topic on hand.

While some components carry more weight than others, each component of your article must be crafted with great care and foresight.

Note that a well planned and structured article can significantly increase the amount of traffic back to your website.

Typically, the 5 major components of a “Traffic Generating Article” includes :

(1) Creation of a “Killer” Headline or Article Title :

Like i mentioned in my last blog post, a “Killer” Headline or article title must grab your eyes and capture your attention like steel to magnet.

Try to think of your article title as the “Headline” of a newspaper or any major publications.

Now imagine yourself strolling along the street and walking briefly pass a news vendor stand, and at the corner of your eye, you caught sight of a “Interesting” header that is so compelling that it stops you in your tracks and “Forces” you to take a closer look.

That is what i mean by a great article title or “Killer” Headline.

(2) Draw Readers Further In With A Stunning Opening Sentence or Paragraph.

The opening phrase or paragraph is the second most important part of your article as the reader will decide whether the article is worth their time to carry on reading.

In my view, it’s kind of like the “Add Fuel To The Spark” section, where we need to entice readers further by trying to get them more “Involved” in the article topic.

By getting readers “Involved”, i mean asking them questions, stating a “Fact” or tapping on the “Curiosity Kills The Cat” factor to set them thinking.

Typical examples of Opening Sentences or Paragraphs include :

- Do you know whether the “Pay Per Click” model or the “Article Marketing” model is more efficient for generating targeted traffic back to your website?”

- It’s a known fact that more than 95% of all internet marketers fail to make a single cent online.

- Find out how a 17 year old homeless kid managed to make $12,875 online using free public internet infrastructure.

(3) Create Clear & Concise Main Points In The Body Section.

You have probably heard of the phrase “KISS” many times, and when better to utilize this concept than in the body section of the article.

And for those who are not familiar with “KISS”, it generally represents “Keep It Simple Stupid” but i prefer to term it as “Keep It Short & Straight to the point” in the article writing context.

Always break down your article into short, easy to read and continual sequential sections, preferably in the format where each paragraph only focus on a single concept.

For example, the first paragraph may state & describe the “Problem” and the second paragraph the “Proposed Solution” and so on and so forth.

(4) Summarize & Conclude With A Call To Action.

Always conclude your article with a summary of all the major points highlighted in part (3) as well as a little “nudge” to push readers to take the necessary action in order to achieve the results you desire.

Here’s an example in the Weight Loss Niche i recently came across that clearly shows this concept beautifully.

“………. just by following these 3 simple steps that i just revealed, you can lose those unsightly “Love Handles” in one month’s time. All you need to do is to spend 10 minutes each day following my simple 3 step plan and say goodbye to your “Spare Tyre” forever. Take action now to see results in less than 30 days!”

(5) “Must Click” Article Resource Box.

The last step to creating a “Traffic Generating Article” lies in the creation of the Article Resource Box or commonly known as the Author’s Bio Box.

The contents of this box typically “Encourages” readers to find out more about the author, his/her website or the products they are trying to promote.

In my personal opinion, the word “Encourages” is actually too mild for this context as most writers have put in tons of effort in research, trying to provide “Relevant” information that will help their readers.

And all these efforts will be flushed down the drains if the Resource Box doesn’t contain the appropriate “Click Through” links that will generate traffic back to the author’s site.

As there is a word count limitation for the Article Resource Box, we should always structure the Resource Box description by writing it as some sort of a classified ad.

One that is short, sweet and hits the bulls eye every time, however, writing this form of classified ads is again another skill by its own.

In a nutshell, if you observe and follow these 5 essential components when writing your articles, sooner and not later, you will be certain to craft out a “Traffic Generating Article” in no time.
