Have You Fulfilled The Check List For Achieving Google Adsense Success?

Posted in: Pay Per Click Biz Model, Viral Marketing Biz Model |

If you are still wondering how to cash in on Google Adsense from your site, here’s a quick checklist of items you should considering fulfilling before you can see that first payout.

Find the Best Keywords. Make use of Keyword Research tools like WordTracker or Keyword Elite to help you find the highest paying keywords that will drive targeted traffic to your site. More traffic usually results in an increase in the CTR.
Color Code Your Ad Background. Try to color code your ad’s background and borders with your site’s color theme so that it blends in seamlessly.
Color Code Your Ad Links. Use Blue for your links. Statistics have shown that blue has a higher click through rate than any other colors for Google Adsense Ads.
Mix Up Your Ads. Don’t just rely on using the images format alone as the main setting for your ad codes. It is advisable to use a mixture of both texts and images for higher CTR.
Position Your Ads. Google actually provides layout guides to show you the highest converting areas of a website. If possible, always place your ads above the fold or in between paragraphs of texts for greatest visibility.
Size Of Your Ads. Some of the more popular ad unit sizes are "336×280" ; "300×250" & "600×160". You can even try putting 2 units of "300×250" ads side by side if you have the space.
Test & Track.
The secret to finding what works for your site is to test and track all the changes you make with your ads. Make changes to only one component of your ad each time to allow for accurate testing and tracking to determine if the CTR increases or decreases.
External Stimulus For Clicking. Never encourage your visitors to click on your ads either by a call to action instruction like "Click Here" or using graphical representations like "Arrows". It is a sure way to get your account banned.
Observe & Learn.
Do a search for the top Adsense sites and see how the experts are doing, learn what they are using and where they are placing their ads for maximum exposure and CTR.

Make sure all the boxes are ticked before you start your Adsense campaign.

Have fun and good luck.

Dominate Adwords Using This Simple 5 Step Adwords Guide ( Part 1 of 5 )

Posted in: Pay Per Click Biz Model, Viral Marketing Biz Model |

If you ever had the unfortunate experience of being charged an alarming $5 to $10 for each click due to the apparent lack of understanding of how Google Adwords works, then this 5 step Adwords Guide is a must read if you do not wish to be “Slapped” by Google again.

In the world of business, there is a common saying that goes like this “In any type of business, the people making the most money are always the ones who had the most intimate knowledge of their industry”.

That is why if you were to succeed in the world of internet marketing utilizing Google Adwords , then knowing the Adwords rules like the back of your hand is a definite must.

Unfortunately, like many aspiring internet marketers out there trying to make a quick buck promoting some hyped up affilate product through the use of Adwords, many have got their fingers burned, including myself.

From a personal perspective, i was practically on the verge of branding “Adwords” a complete waste of time as all my ad campaigns seems to be incurring more costs than making me any form of revenue.

Luckily for me, the light at the end of the tunnel couldn’t come at a more crucial time when i accidentally chanced some of the better Adwords programs by Steve Clayton and Perry Marshall.

And after a whole month of intense reading and re-reading, i finally began to see the big picture.

Adwords advertising isn’t just about writing a couple of ads based on certain keywords, it is a entirely different art form in its own.

So buckle up, sit tight and keep your eyes peeled as I will sharing with you what i have learned from these Adwords experts.

The First Step towards successful Adwords publishing is the same as in all internet business niches and that is “Keyword Research” .

Nothing could be more important than researching for those important keywords that can possibly rake in thousands if not millions in revenue.

And instead of spending time, effort and resources to come up with new keywords for every campaign, the simplest and most efficient method is to just “Spy” on your competition.

This may sound “Unethical” but what the heck, everyone’s doing it and it seems to work pretty well too.

Do some market research on your competition and dig up the important keywords that your major competitors are currently using and try to get a general idea and feel of what kind of keywords are generating them traffic.

And if you are a software junkie like myself, i suggest you go get a good keyword software program that can help automate the entire process.

One of the more popular ones on the market seems to be Brad Callens’s Keyword Elite .

The next step is to expand your keyword list into different categories for the different ad campaigns. A useful tool that i personally use to help expand my keyword lists into “Phrase Match” ; “Exact Match” & “Broad Match” can be found at Mike’s Marketing Tools .

It is called the Adwords Wrapper and the best part is that it is totally “FREE”. This process alone may rake up a keyword list that ranges in the thousands, so try to organize it systematically into different themes and groups using a spreadsheet for easier reference.

The other important aspect of a successful Adwords campaign is the ability to weed out inefficient keywords that doesn’t click through or convert.

I remember some Internet Marketing Guru once said that “If you don’t track your PPC campaigns, don’t bother about to start as you are already doomed from the start”.

This quote left a very deep impression on me as i was actually “bleeding” badly from my initial ad campaigns and i suggest you heed this advise.

That is why it is essential to add in an additional column in your keyword spreadsheet for the assignment of an unique identifier, otherwise you won’t be able to track which keywords are converting and which are just a complete waste of time.

Lastly, be a intelligent marketer and do your market and keyword research well, especially in the beginning stages. With that in mind, we will wrap up the first part of our Adwords Guide.

Stay tuned for the rest of my Adwords Tips in the next few posts.
