Posted in: Internet Marketing |

There are so many different internet business models out there for maximizing online profits.

And it is often hard to tell nowadays which works and which doesn’t.

I reckon the best thing that you could possibly do when you are trying to maximize and squeeze every cent out of your online business is simply to put up advertisements.

If your blog or website has a decent amount of traffic coming in, then placing advertisements is one good way of earning extra income.

We all know that the services offered by some of the biggest money making sites such as Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, Facebook etc are “FREE”. So where does these sites get their income from?

The answer is Advertising. Website with tons of traffic are often buzzing with advertisements of similar themes.

And the greatest advantage is that even when a visitor leaves your site after clicking on an advertisement, you still make money depending on the type of business model used.

The Pay Per Click (PPC) model allows you to make a commission everytime a visitor clicks on the ads placed at your site.

Advertisers bid on major keywords that they think their target audience will be interested in when searching for what they want online.

Major PPC networks are Google Adsense, Yahoo! Publisher Network, and Microsoft adCenter.

The Pay Per Lead (PPL) or Pay Per Action (PPA) model allows you to earn a commission if a visitor who was referred by your site clicks through to the advertiser’s site and performs a designated action such as filling out a form, taking part in a survey or signing up for a newsletter.

This type of advertisement business model is highly popular with telecommunications companies, banks and credit card companies.

The Pay Per Sale (PPS) or commonly known as Affiliate Marketing model allows you to earn a percentage of the sale amount when a visitor referred from your site makes a purchase of the advertiser’s product or service.

Sometime, this form of commission based business model is also called revenue sharing where both parties benefits from the sale.

Internet profits don’t have to be hard to come by if you know what you are doing.

A solid business model can help your website succeed to the best of its own ability, but coupled with a suitable advertising model, it can work seamlessly together to help you become even more successful.

Simply by putting some interesting and related ads on your website, you will be able to come up with extra money in your pocket and isn’t that cool?
