The 2nd part of our Adwords Guide begins with the creation of small and highly focused Adwords Ads Groups.

Here, I are assuming 2 important things, one is that you have already registered with Google as an Adwords Publisher and the other being the fact that you have actually made a decent effort to select the most competitive keywords for your niche and separated them into different ad groups based on themes.

The basic layout of any Adwords campaign should be as follows :

(1) Campaign -> (2) Ad Group ( Keyword ) -> (3) Your Displayed Ad

When you are starting on a new campaign, if possible always try to use the maximum of 100 ad groups that is allowed by google.

Take for example if my ad campaign is to promote a Adwords Guide, i will structure my campaign details as follows :

(1) Campaign Name :
Eg : Adwords Guide

(2) Ad Group ( Variation of a particular keyword based on the following criteria’s ) :
- Singular
- Plural
- Capitalization Of The First Letter Of Each Word / Phrase
- Lower case Of The First Letter Of Each Word / Phrase
- Hyphenation between Words / Phrase
- Broad Match
- Phrase Match
- Exact Match

Eg :
- Adwords Guide ; "Adwords Guide" ; [Adword Guide]
- adwords guide ; "adwords guide" ; [adwords guide]
- Adwords Guides ; "Adwords Guides" ; [Adword Guides]
- adwords guides ; "adwords guides" ; [adwords guides]
- etc.
( there are actually 72 different possible combinations in this case )

I understand that this process involves a lot of work, but if you ever want to have any form of success with Adwords, "Hard Work" certainly plays an integral part.

Although working hard is important, i am more of an advocate of "Working Smart" . And making use of technology to speed up my Internet Marketing progress is my forte.

Creating hundreds if not thousands of variation of keywords based on all the different criteria’s list above for each ad group can sometimes be a pain in the behind.

But ever since i discover a program called SpeedPPC , life just got a bit easier.

As a tech-junkie, SpeedPPC is a life saver, many Gurus swear by it while aspiring internet marketers swear at it.

Can you image spending close to $500 dollars for a piece of software. I took me over 3 months of constant struggling with juggling varied keywords that i decided to fork out the cash and buy it.

Of course, there is a certain learning curve you need to overcome but once you got the hang of things, it’s worth every cent once you paid for as it can help solve your all PPC needs.

(3) Displayed Ad :

For starters, try writing 5 different ads for each of your new ad groups.

Each ad should contain the "particular" keyword in each of your ad groups.

Although you are writing 5 ads for each ad group to start with, you should be only testing only 2 ads at a time.

Remember, never start your Adwords campaign with more than 2 ads at the same time because if you do, you will risk severely hurting your Click Through Rates (CTR) which will dramatically increase your Cost Per Clicks (CTC) and send you spiraling into disaster.

A important thing to note is that most Adwords publisher "Forget" is to set a realistic budget for their campaign.

Always fix parameters like the Time-Frame for testingĀ  as well as a Daily Budget you can afford to test out your ad campaign.

I personally prefer to test small and set a reasonable budget of perhaps $25 to $50 per day for selected ad groups.

Failure to do so will leave a large hole in your wallet if you get my drift.

As soon as your ads have achieved 30 to 50 clicks or so, you should be able to determine which ads is performing better than the rest.

Once you have determined this, immediately cancel the ad that isn’t doing as well and activate another ad to test.

With that, we wrap up the second part of our 5 part Adwords Guide .
